Whew! It's been a busy few days. All the trees we ordered have arrived and we've been busy busy busy planting. We'll be posting and showing photos of the planting in the upcoming days but for now we'd like to share a few photos of the tomatoes in our bay window.
What's really remarkable is they already have baby tomatoes growing on them:
They started flowering a few weeks ago and without pollinators inside we lightly tapped each plant once a day so the fruit would set. Looks like it worked!

I just read through all of your posts and it was a fun read.
You guys are clearly very dedicated and pretty well funded so your progress has been incredibly rapid and impresively high quality. Love the front yard view of the bluff and high bridge as well.
It's also nice to see another person with a Minnesota location and the weather challenges related to that.
Finally thanks for the pointer to BFG supply in one of your posts. They carry vermiculite for half the price of the cheapest nursery near us, and about 1/10 the cost of buying it in the 8qt bags from the local home/garden places.
We'll be sure to check back later in the season to see what your yard looks like and how far you've managed to move the red bar.
Kristofor.
Kristofor,
We're glad you enjoyed reading through the blog. We've been having a lot of fun with it, and it's a great way to document everything we've been doing.
You must be from, or have spent some time in the West Side Neighborhood if you noticed the bluff and highbridge in the background of some of the photos. Do you live around here? Are you doing similar things with your property?
Glad to have turned you on to BFG supply, they've been great to work with and their prices in bulk can't be beat.
Thanks for dropping us a line!
